Hello,

My name is Michael Travis Ravan and I have taught in public schools for 18 years.  My passion and drive throughout my career has been providing top-notch physical education to my students.  As a recent doctoral graduate, I studied all accepted teaching models in the field of physical education, specifically those used by middle school teachers.  What I found was astonishing.  Middle school physical education today is organized and executed just as it was when I was in school.

Throughout my entire career, I have been crafting a new way of presenting material and changing the status quo of middle school PE.  In 2019 all of the logistics were finalized, and the TALENT Model was successfully piloted.  My mission is to provide all PE teachers with a new and improved way of teaching PE so that all students can find success and enjoyment during their PE class.  The foundation of the TALENT Model is to provide a vast variety of activities so that ALL students have an opportunity to find a passion during their PE class.  This passion will then give the students an avenue toward lifetime fitness as they enter into adulthood.
